Uploading documents
To upload existing documents to the vault:
- Select the folder where you want the uploaded documents to reside.
- Click the Add New Document icon
in the toolbar to upload a single document. Click the Add Multiple Document icon
in the toolbar to upload more than one document. The Add Document/Select Files dialog box appears.
- Click Add, select a file to upload, and click Open. The file name is added to the file list. Select a file and click Remove to remove it from the list.
- Repeat step 3 to select all of the files you want to upload and then click Next. The Progress dialog box appears while the files are uploaded, showing the results.
- If a page appears prompting you to select a document type for files that you uploaded, select from Document type and click Next.
- If any property pages appear for the documents you uploaded, type any known values in the property pages and click Finish when you are finished.
The files are uploaded to the current folder or, if their location is controlled by the vault’s Field-Path definition, they are created in the appropriate folders.
